Donate Goods
United Way's Gift in Kind program provides donated goods to more than 250 Kansas City are charities, helping them save money and further the impact of their programs and services. Since 2000, the Gifts in Kind program has distributed more than $44 million worth of product to area agencies.
If you have goods you’d like to donate through United Way’s Gifts in Kind program, please complete the form below. Your donation will be matched with needs in the community, and you will then be contacted by the recipient nonprofit agency to organize the arrangements. We welcome the following types of donations:
- New/newer computers and software (less than two years old)
- New/gently used office equipment
- New/gently used furniture (we are unable to accept used couches)
- Household goods
- New clothing and accessories
- Playground equipment
- Educational materials
- Tickets to area sport and entertainment events
Please note that United Way Gifts in Kind is unable to accept the any of the items listed below due to storage limitations. However, we are happy to connect you with programs that do. Please contact Jason B. Wood at (816) 559-4739 or jasonwood@uwgkc.org for more information.
- Used clothing
- Used appliances (stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators, tvs)
- Computers or monitors more than two years old
- Cars
- Houses or buildings
- Services (i.e. a cleaning company donating their services for an agency)
- Perishable items
- Donations that require pick-up
