2011 - 2013 Request for Proposals

United Way of Greater Kansas City has issued the 2011-2013 Request for Proposals (RPF). Qualifying organizations are invited to submit a proposal for funding consideration, by following the guidelines outlined in the RPF.
The deadline for submission of completed funding proposals is Friday, August 6th at 5:00pm.
Interested applicants should attend a United Way proposal workshop (details are included in the RFP) to learn more about eligibility requirements, United Way funding priorities and the process for seeking funding.

United Way provides grant opportunities in two categories, wich are tied in part to the size of applicant organizations. Details on the Community Impact Fund and the Small Grant Fund are provided in the RFP. The application forms for the two grant mechanisms are different. Both sets of forms are posted below.

Community Impact Fund applicants may download the UWGKC 2011-2013 application templates here in Microsoft Word and Excel formats. After opening the documents, be sure to save them to your computer for filling out the forms.

Application Forms - Small Grant Fund
Small Grant Fund applicants may download the application forms below. After opening the documents, be sure to save them to your computer before filling out the forms. The Small Grant Fund is only open to organizations that:
- have an annual budget of $500,000 or less
- are seeking funding for only ONE program
- are seeking at least $5,000, but not greater than $15,000 in funds.

Shared Outcomes Manual
All agencies seeking funds must demonstrate their readiness to collect data on "shared outcomes" identified by United Way with the input of partner agencies.
New Program Funding Registration
All prospective applicant organizations must register no later than July 30th to indicate their intent to apply. Registration must be preceded by an eligibility interview with a member of United Way staff. Only applicant organizations that have completed an eligibility interview will be eligible for funding consideration.
