2011-2013 Request for Proposals
Currently Funded Agencies
United Way of Greater Kansas City has issued the 2011-2013 Request for Proposals. Qualifying organizations are invited to submit a proposal for three-year funding consideration.
Agencies may seek funding for more than one program, but must submit a separate program funding proposal for each program.
The RFP, application forms and related materials are available for download below. The deadline for submission of funding proposals is Thursday, August 12 at 5:00 pm.
Applications for the Community Impact Fund must be submitted through United Way's web-based application system. Details are included in the RFP.
Small Grant Fund applicants (those whose budgets are under $500,000 and seek $15,000 or less) should submit their proposals via email to UnitedWayProposals@uwgkc.org using the Word and Excel templates below. Small Grant Fund applicants should not use the web-based application system.

Application Forms - Community Impact Fund
Community Impact Fund applicants may download the UWGKC 2011-2013 application templates here in Microsoft Word and Excel formats. After opening the documents, be sure to save them to your computer for filling out the forms.
Agency Overview Form - Summary information about the organization; submit only one Agency Overview
Program Funding Proposal Form - Narrative information about applicant programs; submit one for each program for which your organization is seeking funds.
Program Budget Form - Budget data for a five-year period; submit one budget form for each program for which your organization is seeking funds.

Application Forms - Small Grant Fund
Small Grant Fund applicants may download the application forms below. The Small Grant Fund is only open to organizations that:
- have an annual budget of $500,000 or less
- are seeking funding for only ONE program
- are seeking at least $5,000, but not greater than $15,000 in funds.

Shared Outcomes Manual
Agencies seeking funds must demonstrate their readiness to collect data on "shared outcomes" identified by United Way with the input of partner agencies.
New Program Funding Registration
United Way of Greater Kansas City will accept requests for New Program funding consideration. All New Program Funding applicant programs must register no later than July 30th to indicate their intent to apply. New Program Funding proposals from current United Way Partner Agencies are due on August 12 by 5:00 pm.
