It's five days, devoted to one cause. United Way of Greater Kansas City is asking the entire community to come together Monday, September 26 - Friday, September 30 to help our neighbors during Live United Week. There are a variety of activities you can promote at your workplace to us make this week a success for our neighbors in need...

Community-Wide Jeans Day
On Wednesday, September 28, we encourage organizations to allow employees to wear jeans for a $5 donation to United Way.

YLS Face/Off
Join the Young Leaders Society's happy hour with other local young professional groups on Wednesday, September 28 for drink specials, live music and little friend competition to determine which group can bring out the most young professionals. Winners recieved Live United shirts and coffee! Click here for more details.

Radio Giveaways
Tune in during the morning shows on several local radio stations that will be giving away Live United Prize Packs. Thanks to KFKF 94.1 FM, KPRS 103.3 FM, and KPRT 1590 AM for their suppport.

Tips for a Successful Live United Week

1. Promote your plans! Download the customizable posters and table tents to display in hallways, elevators, lunch rooms or wherever people will see them.

2. Utilize the company's intranet by using one of our web banners and linking them to your organization's details.

3. Use the customizable flyers to distribute to employee's desks or in their payroll envelopes.

4. Take lots of pictures, then share them with United Way! We may post your photos on our Web site, our Facebook page, or even try and get a little media attention for some of the most creative events! Send information about your participation to webmaster@uwgkc.org.
