Brand Guidelines for United Way

Using the United Way Logo
The 4-color logo is the first preference for use. In cases where four colors is not an option, you may also use the one-color version in black and white or PMS #287 blue. These logos are available for download and can be found on the left-hand side of this page.

Guidelines for Using the Logo

  • The United Way logo should be at least .75" wide in print and 1.25" wide on screen.
  • The logo should always be placed at the right edge of any print or onscreen applications.
  • When stretching the logo, take care to maintain its original proportions. Holding down the shift key while you drag the corner of the logo maintains its proportions as you adjust its size.
  • Do not separate any part of the logo or redesign it. This includes integrating it with or superimposing it over any other graphic elements.
  • A white outline has been built into the logo to maintain separation when it appears on a darker background, and should not be altered.

For Agencies
The logo may never be used for soliciting designations to a specific charity. The logo may only be used by agencies receiving monies from the Community Chare Fund and by organizations conducting a workplace campaign. All others must have written permission from the Marketing Department of United Way of Greater Kansas City.

For Companies
When used by a company, the logo can only be used for their internal workplace campaigns. If used in the company's external materials, the United Way logo may convey an endorsement by United Way of that company and its products or services, which is strictly prohibited without written consent.
